Recycling Your Electronic Products
LAMPS INSIDE MANY OF OUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN MERCURY AND MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF ACCORDING TO LOCAL, STATE OR FEDERAL LAWS. Your Owner’s Guide will note whether or not your product contains a Mercury bulb. For disposal or recycling information, please contact your local authorities or the Electronic Industries Alliance at www.eiae.org. Additional information is available at www.lamprecycle.org.
The Electronic Industry Alliance’s Consumer Education Initiative is the premier resource for consumers that wish to find local opportunities for recycling electronics. These opportunities include state and local collection programs, charitable organizations, and recyclers that accept used electronics. To learn about the recycling opportunities near you please visit www.eiae.org.
California
The State of California has adopted the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003, which will require mandatory collection of an advanced recycling fee on the initial sale of certain electronic products. Electronic products are subject to the recycling fee effective January 1, 2005. To learn more please visit www.erecycle.org. |
